Gallery K ~ Mother Tree Exhibition

We hope you will join us in this celebration!

Mother Trees, the biggest in the forest, are connected to other forest trees and plants by their roots and a fungal network that communicates, shares resources and nurtures seedlings.
The Mother Tree exhibit celebrates the sustaining connections between Mothers and their Daughters made through photography, collage, painting and prose.

The exhibits features the work of mother-daughter artists:
Ginny & Sally Parsons
Hopi Breton, Lee Zabin & Esther Zabin
Danielle Gilbert & Molly Boyle
Annie & Emily Heller
 Jan & Emilie Watten

Join us for the opening reception at Rhythmix Cultural Works on
Saturday, May 15, from 4:00 – 6:30pm. In addition to timed gallery viewings, there will be live music and community chalk drawing.

Please RSVP to help expedite check-in at the reception.

About Jan & Emilie's project:
In our collaboration for the Mother Tree Exhibit, Jan and Emilie will be showing images that they made when they were both 22 years old.  Emilie is almost 23, and her images were taken recently.  Jan went into her archives of negatives to find images that she took when she was 22.   As we began selecting work for the show we discovered how our vision was so in sync.  This element of synchronicity has been a gratifying and rewarding mother/daughter experience.

We hope to see you!
