On May 5, 2012, Cinco de Mayo, in fact, Melody Lacina read her poetry at the Gray Loft Gallery. The subjects ranged from loves and lovers to family and friends; in other words, the things that matter in life. Some of the poems were nostalgic, some were happy, some funny but all were about what makes life worth living.
