Art Route Oakland begins on First Friday!





Art Route Oakland invites you to explore the local art scene! This fun, free activity takes you on a self-guided tour of Oakland Art Murmur galleries throughout the city. 

First Friday, May 6, 6:00 - 8:30 pm
Saturday, May 7, 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Saturday, May 14, 1:00 - 5:00 pm

Play by collecting stamps on your map and enter to win up to $2,000 toward art purchases, hotel stay at Kissel, and more!
 
 Pick up your official Art Route Oakland 2022 map at Gray Loft Gallery starting Friday, May 6th! Collect stamps on your map and submit the completed entry to a participating gallery by 5:00pm on May 14, 2022

How to participate:
  • Go to one of the 30 participating galleries and pick up a map and get it stamped.
  • Check out the show, and then go to the next gallery on the map.
  • Collect as many stamps as you wish by 5:00 pm Saturday, May 14.  
  • Turn in your map at the last gallery you visit on the May 14.
  • Stay tuned to find out if you are a winner!

ABOUT  GRAY  LOFT  GALLERY
 
Gray Loft Gallery has promoted the rich art culture of Jingletown and the greater Bay Area for 10 years. The gallery has been referred to as a hidden gem in Jingletown, and noted by the late Kenneth Baker, former SF Chronicle Art Critic, in his Visual Arts Don’t Miss Column as “…A space gaining prominence in the Bay Area…”   The mission of the gallery is to provide exhibition opportunities for artists in a setting that is an alternative to the traditional gallery model. We hope to inspire, engage and celebrate artists in our community and beyond.  We acknowledge the achievements of emerging, mid-career and established artists – with an emphasis on those who live and work in the Bay Area – in a non-traditional art space. A number of artists began their art career at Gray Loft Gallery.
