Gray Loft Gallery ~ Slow Art Day

Slow Art Day 2013
Would you like to join us for Slow Art Day?

April 11, 2015, is Slow Art Day, an annual global event that aims to transform the act of viewing art. On a single day each year, people all over the world are encouraged to visit local museums and galleries to look at five pieces of art for an hour. After the slow-viewing exercise, participants enjoy lunch with the artists to talk about their experiences.

Join us at Gray Loft Gallery to view the current exhibit COMMON  GROUND - a perfect show to experience on Slow Art Day - a group show of seven artists whose collective vision is unified by abstraction.
Participating Artists:
Larry Davidson – photography
Philip Dow – sculpture
Katie Hawkinson – painting

About the Gray Loft Gallery
Gray Loft Gallery has been referred to as a hidden gem in Jingletown, and noted by Kenneth Baker, SF Chronicle, in his Visual Arts Don’t Miss Column as “…A space gaining prominence in the Bay Area…”   The mission of the gallery is to provide exhibition opportunities for artists in a setting that is an alternative to the traditional gallery model. We hope to inspire, engage and celebrate artists in our community and beyond.  We acknowledge the achievements of emerging, mid-career and established artists – with an emphasis on those who live and work in the Bay Area, in a non-traditional art space.
