Would you like to join us for Slow Art Day?
April 11, 2015,
is Slow Art Day, an annual global event that aims to transform the act
of viewing art. On a single day each year, people all over the world are
encouraged to visit local museums and galleries to look at five pieces
of art for an hour. After the slow-viewing exercise, participants enjoy
lunch with the artists to talk about their experiences.
Join us at Gray Loft Gallery to view the current exhibit COMMON GROUND - a perfect show to experience on Slow Art Day - a group show of seven artists whose collective vision is unified by abstraction.
This event is free, but please RSVP to grayloftgallery@gmail.com or use this registration form to secure your spot. Seating is limited, so if you are interested, sign up today! Details: Arrive by 11:15 and bring a bagged lunch, the gallery host will have dessert and beverages. Art viewing will be from 11:30 to 12:30, lunch will follow. A number of the artists in "Common Ground" will be joining us for lunch and conversation. Check out Slow Art Day for more details about this annual event. You can also see photos from previous Slow Art Days on our Facebook page. We hope you can join us for this inspiring experience.
